How far along: 15 weeks
Baby’s size: Apple/Large Naval Orange
Total weight gain / loss: +4.4
Gender: Getting closer to finding out - just 4-6 more weeks!
Maternity clothes: Bottoms - yes, always and everywhere. Still able to wear my normal tops, although I throw in a maternity one here and there just because I have them.
Stretch marks: Nope - lotioning up daily! (or trying anyway - most days)
Sleep: I slept great this week! Also finding that if I don't get enough hours in a night though, it REALLY affects me the next day.
Loving: My little baby bump starting to show :)
Loathing: Holland America. Click here if you missed the why on that. Although we did get an email just last night that they've agreed to refund us the full amount (yay!), it still annoys me that they are only doing it because they got bad press - I believe they should be re-evaluating company policy for Zika virus refunds for ALL pregnant couples, not just us because we happened to land on the news.
Missing:
Movement: Nope
Cravings: Food. I'm hungry and have to eat every few hours (just ask Mike what it's like if I don't!).
Aversions: Random stuff that comes and goes. Had delicious Pho last weekend and loved it, but now makes me sick to think of the leftovers.
Labor signs: Better not be!
Symptoms: I've started having bad mid-upper back pain after things like sitting at a computer for a long time. Not sure if this is normal or pregnancy related, but it never happened before.
Exercise: Pre-natal yoga. For lent I decided to do a 30 minute walk every day - that's going so-so, as I've missed a few days.
Belly button: Still there.
Wedding rings: Loose, no change.
Mood: Emotional. If you hear a sad story in the news, please keep it to yourself. If something sad happened to you and you need a buddy to cry with - I'm your girl.
Husband: Loves me! :) He's started going into protective "daddy" mode - looking up all kinds of safety information on car seats, safety features for the house, etc.
Can't wait for: Finding out the gender, and also getting pretty excited to start feeling baby kicks in the next few weeks!
Sorry, no picture this week!

14 weeks
How far along: 14 weeks
Baby’s size: Lemon
Total weight gain / loss: +2 (eep, first time the scale has gone up, looks like baby is growing!)
Gender: 4-6 more weeks!
Maternity clothes: Yes. Best.thing.ever. Most of my old clothes still fit, but I don't think I can ever wear regular pants again. Tops I'm still wearing my regular sweaters and shirts.
Stretch marks: Nope - trying to be good about a daily body lotion regimen!
Sleep: On and off with the good night's sleep. Peeing in the middle of the night makes that hard, but that has been dwindling to about every other night. Oh - and I got a maternity pillow. YOU GUYS. Get one. You're not pregnant? Doesn't matter.
Loving: My hubby. Such a romantic and relaxing Valentine's day this weekend is making me burst with happiness at my life. Cheesiness over.
Loathing: Having to scrutinize everything I eat. Google is the best thing and worst thing ever... I feel like I have to look something up for a meal once a day.
Missing: Truly nothing right now. At least nothing I can think of at the moment. ;)
Movement: Can't feel it yet, but I know he/she is movin' around in there!
Cravings: Nothing in particular - maybe cravings here and there in the moment, but I'm pretty sure I had those kind of cravings before I was pregnant. #confessionsofafatty
Aversions: Continuing to get much better each week. Eggs are still touch and go.
Labor signs: Let's talk in August.
Symptoms: Emotional, tinyyy bouts of nausea here and there, peeing often, and back pain has started recently too. Is that normal this early in pregnancy? Not sure...
Exercise: A few walks this week (I'm doing a 30 minute walk each day for Lent). I've also kept up with my regular Hath yoga class, and this week added in a prenatal yoga class too (the instructor started class by making us each come up with a sentence about our pregnancy using "powerful" words at the beginning of class, and the first girl to go had to "keep thinking about it" because her answer wasn't good enough. I wanted to die and leave prenatal yoga and never come back. But then after the sentence thing, the rest of the class required no talking by us and was really good - I'll go back!).
Belly button: Nothing new to share.
Wedding rings: Loose.
Mood: EMOTIONAL. Seriously emotional. Pretty sure I've cried every day this week. Do NOT talk to me about sad things in the news, or make me really happy by surprising me with flowers, or have me look up information about baby monitors that detect when a baby stops breathing in its sleep unless you're ready to deal with my waterworks.
Husband: Is learning to deal with above said emotions. He's doing quite well for a man thrown into a lion's cave. ;)
Can't wait for: Buying lots of baby things! We went and did our registry yesterday, and it just made me want to buy all those adorable tiny little items right now. They're so cute!

13 weeks
How far along: 13 weeks
Baby’s size: peach
Total weight gain / loss: +/-0
Gender: 20 weeks feels like a LONGGG way away!!
Maternity clothes: Regular clothes still fit, but are a little snug - using the rubber band trick as I write this (undetermined whether this is due to the baby or Becca's delicious brownies at work yesterday!). But my real question is - why on earth doesn't EVERYBODY wear maternity clothes ALL THE TIME??? I mean seriously people, this is how clothes should be made.
Stretch marks: Nope, trying to start being good about using lotion and oils on my belly daily to prevent them as the stretching starts.
Sleep: I've woken up every night this week around 3:30 am to pee. That's new. And really annoying.
Loving: Mexican food. Specifically fajitas.
Loathing: Still eggs.
Missing: Had to think on this one for awhile about things I can't have, and most I don't really even want. Then I thought of sushi... mmmm, I could really go for some sushi right now... (RIGHT now)
Movement: Nope
Cravings: Sushi - starting 30 seconds ago.
Aversions: A few things like eggs and hot drinks, but a lot of my aversions are starting to subside with the nausea, so that's been good.
Labor signs: Let's hope not for awhile
Symptoms: I think most of these are covered elsewhere in this post - a few aversions, midnight bathroom calls, high emotions...
Exercise: So, we're talking a lot about me here. How are things with you??
Belly button: Belly button-like.
Wedding rings: Loose.
Mood: I MIGHT be a little emotional lately...
Husband: Has been working really hard lately; he's practicing stepping into his new "provider" role in the family. His military command is done in another month though, and that will alleviate a lot of his time - which we're both really looking forward to!
Can't wait for: This may sound silly, but I can't wait until I have a full on baby bump. Being able to SEE this little thing growing inside me and being able to feel the little kicks and punches seems so exciting!

12 weeks
How far along: 12 weeks
Baby’s size: a large plum
Total weight gain / loss: still down, but just a pound or two now
Gender: Ahhhh - how will I wait another 2 months?? How do some people wait 9?!?!?
Maternity clothes: Momma stocked me up on a few great staples! Haven't had to wear them yet, but I know they're there when I need them. :)
Stretch marks: Nope
Sleep: Sleeping fine, having some weird dreams though. You might be in them - lots with friends/acquaintances (and people who would think I'm a total creeper for having a dream about them who I don't know very well lol!)
Loving: Knowing that my baby can feel it when I touch my belly even though I can't feel him/her kick back yet. :) Oh - and the snow days have been pretty fantastic too - loving the week and half off work!
Loathing: Not really sure I have anything here this week.
Missing: Nothing really here either - no major events recently to make me wish I could drink with everybody else, and there's not much else I can think of that I'm missing right now.
Movement: Nada
Cravings: Nothing crazy. Water.
Aversions: Still not a big fan of eggs, but they're moving their way back into my vocabulary without me having to throw up at just the thought of them.
Labor signs: No no no no nooooo
Symptoms: Nausea seems to have subsided already - yay! Just a few little bouta here and there, but nothing like before when I was nauseous all day every day. Had my first dizzy spell yesterday, which I read is normal once I get close to the 2nd trimester and my body works overtime to get my blood TO the baby, which effectively slows it down in returning to me - often causing dizziness. I just sat down for a minute or two and was fine again. :)
Exercise: Was super sick with a sinus infection last week, which halted the workouts I had finally got back on track with the week before (2 mile runs). Now we had the blizzard of the century and I don't know when there will be a clear path/sidewalk for a run for awhile! I'll have to brainstorm on alternatives!
Belly button: Same old same old
Wedding rings: Loose
Mood: Great actually! Occasionally tearing up at happy/sad things more than usual, but overall feeling very happy. Oh, except during my blizzard binge watching of Walking Dead when I thought Glenn died. I was VERY emotional and NOT happy then.
Husband: Loved seeing his little baby on the ultrasound today! He's been insistent that we have a little boy, but today declared the profile looked a little "girly." ;)
Can't wait for: Announcing to the world that I'm pregnant after I get to tell Grandma Ann this weekend - woohoo!!
Baby’s size: a large plum
Total weight gain / loss: still down, but just a pound or two now

9 weeks
How far along: 9 weeks
Baby’s size: Green Olive (ew)
Total weight gain / loss: Not sure, but my guess is back to 0 - I haven't thrown up as much this week, so probably back up to my starting weight
Gender: I'm hoping for a girl, Mike wants a boy - we'll be thrilled either way :)
Maternity clothes: Hmph - see 8 week post. Not liking that I can't belt these maternity jeans, which means they're always sagging at the hips.
Stretch marks: Nope
Sleep: Off and on. Poor hubby loves to hit snooze in the morning and I used to sleep right through it - now he goes out to the couch to sleep and hit snooze for another half hour or so when his alarm goes off because he knows I toss and turn through it otherwise (notable that he wakes up at 4:30 am)
Loving: Reading literally everything I can about our growing baby; I know it's cheesy, but it really is such an amazing miracle and so fascinating to learn about!
Loathing: Throwing up
Missing: Being able to drink at Jessica's birthday party this week - still had a blast though!
Movement: Nope
Cravings: Graham crackers, cookies and cream ice cream, fruit (not sure if they actually count as cravings since I don't actually want to eat ANYTHING, but they are some of the few things I feel like I can actually tolerate when I know I have to eat)
Aversions: Eggs. Oh god - eggs.
Labor signs: No thank you
Symptoms: Nauseous still - although there have been more good days this week than last
Exercise: About that....
Belly button: Same ol' belly button
Wedding rings: Loose - winter and cold hands doesn't help that
Mood: Good :)
Husband: Is working hard on finishing the basement so we can move on to the next project: nursery!
Can't wait for: GET ME OUT OF THIS NAUSEOUS PHASE!!!
Baby’s size: Green Olive (ew)

8 weeks
We're having a babyyyyyy!!!! I'm not sure it's really sunk in yet - the preggo symptoms are definitely in full swing; it's just still hard to imagine that in 9 months we're actually going to be PARENTS to this little baby - but here we are! I want to document the process so that I can look back on these memories one day. :)
How far along: 8 weeks
Baby’s size: Raspberry/Kidney Bean
Total weight gain / loss: -2 pounds. Thank you nausea.
Gender: DYING to find out - still a long way away though!
Maternity clothes: Wellllll, technically way too early for that, BUT I'm notorious for ripping jeans. I ripped my last pair over the weekend and needed a new pair - it seemed silly to buy a brand new pair that I'll only be able to wear for another couple weeks, so maternity jeans it was!
Stretch marks: No stretching yet, so no stretch marks. :)
Sleep: Sometimes like a rock, other times much lighter than normal. Overall sleeping well though.
Loving: Holding in this fun little secret with just a few of our nearest and dearest!
Loathing: Not being able to tell THE WHOLE WORLD. RIGHT NOW!
Missing: Alcohol. Is it just me, or did every single fun drinking event suddenly start occurring the minute I found out I was pregnant?
Movement: Nothing.
Cravings: Fruit, water, and newly today - graham crackers.
Aversions: Eggs - I don't even want to think about them long enough to finish this sentence.
Labor signs: Nothing - and hope it stays that way for 7 more months. :)
Symptoms: Feeling pretty crummy/nauseous pretty much 95% of the time. Fun!
Exercise: About that... Starting my running back up again this week, along with a prenatal yoga class. Technically have not DONE said workouts yet, so let's check back next week.
Belly button: Right where it always has been.
Wedding rings: Loose - I was planning to get them sized down half a size when I found out I'm pregnant and decided against it for now.
Mood: Good? Maybe we should ask the hubby though... :)
Husband: Is so excited! He hurt his back a few weeks ago and it has had him a little frustrated, but some awesome R&R time over the holidays really seemed to help!
Can't wait for: The end of the first trimester! Nausea please go away!
